New Review on Cross Body Hammer Curl


Exercise: Cross Body Hammer Curl
Review: Most people unfortunately don't understand physiology. Turns out, this is probably the best chest exercise you could possibly do, especially if you do a bent over version. The reason is that bench presses aren't the pec major's ideal way of contracting. The pecs are maximally contracted in a hugging position, particularly whenever a force is directed that pushes the humerus down and away from the sternum. Therefore, the best way to force it to contract is to hold a dumbbell or something else across your body bent over, so that the chest will have to contract. If you notice, on a cross body curl, letting the upper arm move exactly accomplishes this.
